How the glow works

Charge it once. It pays you back all night.

Glow pigment is mixed through the whole print, not painted on top, so a scratch will not kill it and there is nothing to wear out. This is the entire owner's manual.

    Leave it in the light

    Ten minutes of direct sun is a full charge. An overcast day takes longer, a desk lamp works indoors, and a phone flashlight held close will do in a hurry.

  2. 02

    Walk away

    The first half hour after dark is the brightest. From there it steps down slowly and stays easy to spot across a yard or a dark room for hours.

  3. 03

    Do it again tomorrow

    The pigment does not get used up. The same house number that lit your porch last night charges again the next morning without you touching it.

The maker

Second generation painter. First generation glow.

PM3D is Tameka Reeves. Color is the family trade. She grew up around a painter, learned early what a finish does to a room, and spent years watching people react to a wall the second the light changed.

A deep love for vibrant colors and design is in my DNA.

3D printing is where that instinct goes now. Same eye for color, except the finish keeps working after the sun goes down. Every order is printed in small batches on her own machines, finished by hand, and charged before it ships so you see the glow the day the box arrives.

When does PM3D launch?

The first drop goes live on September 16 through the PM3D eBay store, pmlabs3d. Everyone on the VIP list gets the link before it is posted publicly, plus 10 percent off and free shipping on that first order.

How long does the glow last?

The glow is brightest for the first thirty minutes after charging, then it steps down gradually and stays visible in a dark room or a dark street for hours. A full charge in direct sunlight lasts longer than a charge under a lamp.

How do I charge a glow in the dark print?

Leave it in daylight. Ten minutes of sun is plenty, an overcast day takes a little longer, and a lamp or a phone flashlight works in a pinch. There is nothing to plug in and nothing to switch on.

Do they need batteries or wiring?

No. The glow comes from pigment in the material itself. There are no batteries, no wires, no solar panel and no switch, so there is nothing to replace later.

Can house numbers stay outside?

Yes. They are printed for outdoor mounting and they handle normal weather. Months of constant direct sun will fade any printed plastic, so a covered porch, an entry wall or a partly shaded mount keeps the finish looking new the longest.

Do you make custom designs?

What colors are available?

Green is the launch color and it is by far the brightest glow. Electric blue, hot pink and multi color blends are on the roadmap, so ask if you want one and you will get an honest answer about how bright it glows.
